Nonexistence of Monotonic Solutions in a Model of Dendritic Growth
نویسنده
چکیده
A simple model for dendritic growth is given by S2d'" + 9' — cos(9). For S ss 1 we prove that there is no bounded, monotonic solution which satisfies d(-oo) = -7t/2 and Q(oo) = n/2. We also investigate the existence of bounded, monotonic solutions of an equation derived from the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation, namely y" + y = 1 y1 /2. We prove that there is no monotonic solution which satisfies y(-oo) = —\/2 and y(oo) = \f2.

Listeria Monocytogenes Activated Dendritic Cell Based Vaccine for Prevention of Experimental Tumor in Mice
Background: The use of dendritic cells (DCs) as a cellular adjuvant provides a promis-ing approach in immunotherapy of cancer. It has been demonstrated that Listeria mono-cytogenes activated DCs pulsed ex vivo with tumor antigens trigger a systemic Th1-biased specific immune response and a single dose of this vaccine will cause a consider-able anti tumor immunity. Objective: The present study w...
متن کاملDendritic Cell Maturation with CpG for Tumor Immunotherapy
Background: Bacterial DNA has immunostimulatory effects on different types of immune cells such as dendritic cells (DCs). Application of DCs as a cellular adjuvant represents a promising approach in the immunotherapy of infectious disease and cancers. Objectives: To investigate the effect of tumor antigen pulsed DCs in the presence of CpG-1826 in treatment of a murine model of cancer. Methods: ...
متن کاملExistence and nonexistence of positive solutions of semilinear elliptic equation with inhomogeneous strong Allee effect
In this paper, we study a semilinear elliptic equation defined on a bounded smooth domain. This type of problem arises from the study of spatial ecology model, and the growth function in the equation has a strong Allee effect and is inhomogeneous. We use variational methods to prove that the equation has at least two positive solutions for a large parameter if it satisfies some appropriate cond...
متن کاملHuman Leukocyte Antigen-G Expression on Dendritic Cells Induced by Transforming Growth Factor-β1 and CD4+ T Cells Proliferation
Background: During antigen capture and processing, mature dendritic cells (DC) express large amounts of peptide-MHC complexes and accessory molecules on their surface. DC are antigen-presenting cells that have an important role in tolerance and autoimmunity. The transforming growth factor-beta1 (TGF-β1) cytokine has a regulatory role on the immune and non-immune cells. The aim of this study is ...
متن کاملPrey-Predator System; Having Stable Periodic Orbit
The study of differential equations is useful in to analyze the possible past or future with help of present information. In this paper, the behavior of solutions has been analyzed around the equilibrium points for Gause model. Finally, some results are worked out to exist the stable periodic orbit for mentioned predator-prey system.
